For this activity, students find zeros of polynomial functions. I mean literally, they have to walk around the room to find the zeros.
There are not a lot of frills to this scavenger hunt, but it's perfect for a lesson closer since it takes about 15-20 minutes for all groups to complete.
I give each group a sheet for compiling the problems along with their answers - instructions are also on this document (located here). I tape (I love painter's tape!) the cards to the walls around my room, answer side visible. To begin, each group goes to one card, flips it over to the equation side, solves for the zeros, and then finds the card somewhere in the room with those solutions. Repeat until they end up where they started!
There are very few issues with this extremely straight-forward (and kind of basic) activity, so go forth and find some zeros!
